All-Inclusive Resorts in Hawaii FAQs

Are There All-Inclusive Resorts in Hawaii?

Not in the way that there are Caribbean all-inclusive resorts and Mexican all-inclusive resorts. Hawaii doesn’t really have those all-you-can-eat, do-what-you-want kind of resorts and we have a few ideas as to why this might be the case.

One is that it costs a ton of money to run these places. Another reason is that these resorts can be tough on the environment. Plus, Hawaii has got a pretty good thing going with its economy and tourism, so it doesn’t really need these types of resorts to draw visitors to the islands. They want folks to get out and about, see the sights, not just camp out at the resort.

With that said, if you are looking for all-inclusive resorts in Hawaii, there are hotel and travel packages that get you pretty close. We’ve mentioned some of these in our “Suggested Add-Ons” in our guide.

If it’s the all-inclusive vibe you’re looking for—large resorts offering spa access, Kid’s Club, water sports equipment, fitness/yoga classes, cultural experiences, and a number of other perks in the nightly rate and resort fee—then we think the Hawaii all-inclusive resorts alternatives we listed above are worthy of a serious look.

All-inclusive-style resorts in Hawaii often charge a “resort fee” in addition to the nightly rate, which covers many of the activities, services, and amenities you’d expect to find in traditional all-inclusive resorts.

It’s no secret that costs can quickly mount during a stay at one of the premier beachfront resorts in the spectacular Hawaiian Islands.

You’ll generally get a lot more value for your dollar paying a set resort fee than paying à la carte for each individual amenity.

Not to mention that paying for these sorts of things up front in one lump sum makes it a lot easier to budget for your vacation.

When you add up what’s included, these Hawaii all-inclusive resorts alternatives can end up saving you a ton of money, especially if you want to take advantage of the resorts’ signature features and offerings.

Does Hawaii have adults-only resorts?

Yes. Hawaii does have adults-only resorts, although they are not as common as in other destinations like Mexico or the Caribbean.

Two of the best-known adults-only resorts in Hawaii are Hotel Wailea on Maui and Sensei Lanai, a Four Seasons Resort, offering luxury amenities and a relaxing experience.

Other resorts, while not exclusively adult-only, offer pools and other areas just for ages 18+.
